Our liquid, organic plant food's NPK is on average:
Nitrogen (N): 7.52 mg/L
Phosphorus (P): 3.83 mg/L
Potassium (K): 491.41 mg/L
Compared to standard inorganic chemical derived fertilizers, these NPK numbers may appear lower. This is because our product contains nutrients in organic forms rather than simple
salts.
Nitrogen is mostly present in proteins and amino acids, not just as ammonium or nitrate, taking the N2 content to 47% in an environmentally responsible way.
Phosphorus is incorporated into cellular structures and bio-available organic molecules.
Potassium is present along with other essential metabolites that support robust plant health.
These nutrients are part of a complex, metabolite-rich matrix that provides additional benefits for plant growth, including energy-rich molecules and secondary metabolites that can enhance soil microbiology and plant growth, health and resilience.

Our Story
Northern Algae was founded by Mark and Simon — two engineers (building services and environmental) from the North East of England with a background in delivering R&D projects for the Royal Air Force. Working on carbon capture technology, they discovered that microalgae was the most powerful, versatile and environmentally friendly solution available — capable of absorbing up to 50x more CO₂ than trees.
Mark, a passionate gardener and allotment holder in North Tyneside, saw the potential immediately. If microalgae could capture carbon at that scale, what could it do for plants? The answer was extraordinary.
